BARBERTON/NORTON- Fred Martin Superstore successfully said “hello” to summer Friday, July 25^th, when they held the 13^th Annual “Glory Days of Summer” Classic Car Show.  With the weather cooperating this year, turnout was incredible.  121 classic vehicles were registered in advance, with an additional 60 vehicles registering the day of the event. 

New to this year’s show, local band “Liquid Sky” kept the crowd entertained as they perused the wide variety of classic vehicles on display.  Pizza and hot dogs from local business “Sassy Dog” were on site, as well as a bounce house and toy giveaways for the children.  Guests both young and old enjoyed walking the rows of classic cars, undoubtedly picking their favorites and meeting friendly folks along the way.

 The Jackson Girl’s Fast Pitch Softball team was on site selling 50/50 raffle tickets to benefit Akron Children’s Hospital.  A record number of donations were collected at this year’s event, with a total of $2,000 being raised.

 Thank you to all that worked the event, brought their vehicles out to display, and to all those that came out for this annual family friendly event.

The All-New 2015 Jeep Renegade

          Chrysler is getting ready to roll-out the newest member of the Jeep family with the 2015 Jeep Renegade. This adventurous small SUV is built like a Jeep with Trail Rated 4×4 capability, Selec-Terrain system, and 17-inch aluminum wheels with aggressive tires. Don’t think that it is built for only rock crawling though, a 2.4L Tigershark engine paired with a class-exclusive nine-speed transmission will make everyday driving a breeze.

           To match the stylish exterior, Jeep put several features and options into the 2015 Renegade. It has the perfect combination of technology, colors, and equipment. Not only do you get the Uconnect System, but also a personalized information display for the driver. One of the most impressive features has to be the My Sky open-air, dual panel roof. This system allows you to keep the roof closed or you can retract and even remove the roof completely. Plus, you can take the panels with you in a height adjustable rear cargo area. You won’t have to fight over shotgun with this vehicle as everyone gets a great view.

          The 2015 Jeep Renegade has seating for five while also giving a massive cargo area in the back.
