2014 Ram 1500 Motor Trend’s Truck of the Year

Motor Trend named the 2014 Ram 1500 Truck of the Year

Truck of the Year has been a long going event from Motor Trend but there is one thing that has never happened before, consecutive wins by the same truck.  No repeats, two-peats, or back-to-back champions.  That is until now, when Motor Trend and Ram made history by awarding the Ram 1500 Truck of the Year for the second year in a row.

It’s very difficult to be considered for the award, let alone win the award.  Ram pulled out all the stops last year to win the award and knew they would have to go big to even be considered, so they introduced the new EcoDiesel motor to their 1500 and since it has been more than 15 years since a diesel has been offered in a ½-ton truck, people got excited.  There was reason why the diesel disappeared though and this engine would have to be different, better, and it was.  Motor Trend couldn’t believe the constant and consistent power, the smooth ride, and the superb torque.  It’s everything you could want in a truck no matter how you use it.

Truck of the Year is the Tailgating King

         There are times when you need to have serious discussions, and this is one of those times.  Football season is now coming into full swing with High School, College and even the NFL playing every week!  It is our responsibility as fans to properly celebrate these things and there is one time-tested tradition that is worthy of discussing … Tailgating.

Ram “Man of Steel” Edition

            This “Man of Steel” inspired Ram is one thing that will surely impress both car and superhero enthusiasts.   With a dark gray paint and a vinyl wrap that imitates the suit that Superman wears, you’ll see the difference right away.  There is also a great amount of detail put into this special Ram, as even the roof is a high-gloss black, even though you’re going to have a hard time getting that high to appreciate it.   There are also red accents along the front grille with the Superman “S” placed where the Ram normally mounts upon this 4 wheeled giant.  They also put on 17-inch black wheels and decorated the inside with Superman themed materials including Superman logos where the Ram logo normally resides.  It’s unsure if the last son of Krypton would have drove this incredibly well designed Ram truck but General Zod and Fred Martin Superstore highly approve of this quad cab beauty, to the point where it can hid from kryptonite at my place anytime it wants to!
